PAGEANT CATEGORIES

PURPLE PRESENTATION (MISS)
Purple presentation is the first scored category presented in front of an audience. Attire must be all purple. Accent colors such as silver or gold are okay. The purple presentation look is a scored category and should be reflective of who you are as an entertainer/performer. This is a high drag moment. Go big and impress the judges with your best costuming (11 point maximum)
EVENING GOWN (MISS)
Each contestant will be required to present a formal evening gown look. Evening gown must be floor length and should be complimented with a formal updo and appropriate accessories.
(11 point maximum)
TALENT (MISS)
Each contestant will be required to present a 3-5 minute (including set up and take down) talent piece. Contestants are not required to utilize additional people in their talent presentation. However, if they choose, a maximum of 8 extra people (9 total) are permitted on stage at one time. The stage at the Smith Opera House comfortable fits the maximum number of dancers/people allowed on stage. (11 point maximum)
ON-STAGE ANSWER (MISS)
After the completion of presentation, evening gown, and talent only the top 5 contestants, as determined by the scores, will advance on to compete in the on-stage question. All contestants will answer the same question.

GOLD PRESENTATION (MR)
Gold presentation is the first scored category presented in front of an audience. Attire must be all gold. Accent colors such as silver, black or white are okay. The gold presentation look is a scored category and should be reflective of who you are as an entertainer/performer. This is a high drag moment. Go big and impress the judges with your best costuming (11 point maximum)
CREATIVE FORMAL WEAR (MR)
Each contestant will be required to present a creative formal wear look. Creative formal wear just at minimum be comprised of a pant, shirt and jacket. The rest of the creativity is up to you. Think met Gala. Think Fashion. Think show stopper.

All scores, comments, and copies of original score sheets will be provided at the close of the competition. The contact information for each judge will be made available to all contestants within one week of the competition.
PAGEANT REQUIREMENTS
All contestants will be required to arrive at the Host Hotel -- Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 530 Hamilton Street, Geneva, NY 14456 on Friday, May 2nd by 5:00pm for contestant orientation. On competition night (Saturday, May 3rd), all contestants are required to arrive to the dressing room at 5:30pm for a pre-competition meeting. A 2-point deduction may be taken from the final score if a contestant is late for any portion of the competition or does not arrive to the pre-competition meeting on time. Discretion is up to MGFL personnel/Head Judge for any point deductions related to tardiness.
